The Ink Cafe

The Ink Cafe LLC is a small family-owned stationery company that focuses on invitations, event stationery and calligraphy classes. My role within this company was Events and Social Media Intern. I was in charge of managing social media, creating marketing strategies for class ticket sales, styling photoshoots, and coordinating themed workshops with local businesses to raise brand awareness and generate a revenue.  During this time I solely planned 3 major workshop collaborations creating a generous amount of revenue for The Ink Cafe LLC during my yearlong internship. http://www.theinkcafe.com/

1. Handlettering +
Pumpkins Workshop

A fall themed workshop giving guests beginner hand lettering skills, a take home product, home local pies donated by Peggy Jean's Pies along with a fall cocktail. This workshop was held in the beautiful Emerson Fields Venue where we partnered with them to create a magical evening. My role during this event was managing the collaboration with Emerson Fields, social media marketing and design strategy, creative design for the event and all set-up and tear-down. In addition, I created a styled shoot for all social media marketing for this event. Photography during the event was also my responsibility. Total Guests attended was 12 creating 672 in ticket sales while managing to stay under a $150 budget.

Cheeseboards Workshop

For this calligraphy class, we collaborated with Emerson Fields owner and venue coordinator, Amelia Holder. This workshop was a holiday themed calligraphy class where students spent majority of class practicing and then created a final product on a cheeseboard to take home! My role during this event was managing the collaboration with Emerson Fields, social media marketing and design strategy, creative design for the event and all set-up and tear-down. In addition, I created a styled shoot for all social media marketing for this event. Photography during the event was also my responsibility. Total guests attended was 18 creating $1,008 in ticket sales. During this event I managed to stay within my $300 budget.

Ornaments Workshop

This Christmas themed calligraphy class partnered with Warehouse 55 owner and venue coordinator Katie Imler. Guests attending this workshop experienced a morning of beginner hand lettering skills, brunch and holiday cocktails. All social media and marketing was created by myself along with all pre-planning and preparation for the class. Overall, this event had an outcome of 14 guests attended generating $784 in revenue while managing to stay under a $250 budget. Photo styling for pre-event marketing and signage and during-event photography was also my responsibility.
