Relevant Youth

Relevant Youth is a student run creative agency bridging the educational gap between university and industry. This company empowers creative students to do work that is relevant at the University of Missouri. They work with local organizations and businesses to provide opportunities, connections and valuable experience for students. My role within this company started as a Co-coordinator and Designer and then excelled into the Experiential Marketing Team Director. I led four other women on this team and created over five successful events in the span of 2 years.https://therelevantyouth.com/

1. Bridgefest

My largest accomplishment at Relevant Youth was planning and executing Bridgefest. A gorgeous festival and inspiring night purposed to empower creative music artists at the University of Missouri. 12 artists came together to perform, empower and have fun. Attendance goal for the event was 100 people and we exceeded this amount. I took lead of promotions, social media, marketing strategy, all planning, organization and management of event. Ticket sales to this event also exceeded our goals. 

2. Garden Bar

For my second event on this team I planned, promoted and hosted a succulent planting event. This event was the filled with music, coffee, a bagel bar l and can’t forget LOTS of photo opportunities. Creating this event was so fun and we exceeded our attendance goal.

3. February The Thirteenth

Our team of 4 hosted a spin off of Galentine's day for women at Mizzou. February the 13th was a fun and chic way to spend the night with all your favorite gals. The night consisted of cocktails, a dip bar, homemade sugar scrubs, palm readings, and pop-up-shops from female creators. My role consisted of taking the lead on all elements planning for this fun event! From working with an extremely small budget to having full creative freedom, this workshop was a great learning experience.

4. The Creator Series

This event was a fashion market made up of 9 completely different style student labels, 7 major collaborations and a lot of creativity (and ok let’s be honest A LOT of details). This event generated massive revenue for Relevant Youth, while also staying under a budget of $600. Room 38 Restaurant and Lounge donated small bites + apps for the evening, WOAV app team held a pop up and there was an awesome DJ to set the tone for the evening. I oversaw and managed a team of four for this event and absolutely loved it! Our attendance goal exceeded 300.
